RYZ Lift Systems provides rack and pinion industrial elevators engineered for demanding outdoor environments, complex structures, and specialized vertical access applications.
Designed for permanent installation, RYZ industrial elevators provide safe and efficient transportation of personnel, tools, equipment, and materials at virtually any height. Systems can be engineered to attach to or integrate with a wide range of existing and new structures.
RYZ provides vertical access solutions across power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical and refining, chemical processing, marine and offshore, ports and shipyards, cement, pulp and paper, steel, grain, manufacturing, bridges, tunnels, dams, warehouses, and other industrial infrastructure.
For industrial facilities, the value of a rack and pinion elevator extends beyond transportation. The system can provide a practical combination of safety, productivity, durability, installation flexibility, and long-term maintainability.
Unlike elevators designed primarily for offices, hotels, residential buildings, and other controlled environments, industrial elevators must operate in conditions that may include dust, vibration, humidity, temperature fluctuations, corrosive atmospheres, weather exposure, heavy loading, and continuous operational demands.
Reliable industrial vertical transportation depends on more than lifting capacity. Equipment selection and engineering must consider the operating environment, duty cycle, structural conditions, maintenance accessibility, long-term durability, operator safety, and the consequences of equipment downtime.
RYZ industrial elevators are developed specifically for these demanding applications, providing permanent vertical access for workers, maintenance teams, inspectors, and authorized personnel throughout the lifecycle of a facility.
RYZ rack and pinion elevators are designed for demanding environments where reliable vertical access is essential to daily operations. Whether used for routine maintenance, inspections, shutdowns, plant turnarounds, production operations, or emergency access, the systems provide dependable transportation between ground level and elevated work areas.
RYZ Lift Systems delivers engineered rack & pinion vertical transportation systems designed for demanding industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and construction applications. Our solutions are supported by experienced engineering and manufacturing capabilities, rigorous quality processes, and a deep understanding of the technical and operational requirements of vertical transportation.
With more than 50 years of combined elevator industry experience, the RYZ team brings extensive knowledge in elevator engineering, industrial vertical transportation, construction elevators, material handling systems, installation, service, project management, and code compliance. This experience allows us to evaluate each application from both an engineering and operational perspective—not simply by selecting equipment based on capacity and travel.
Our rack & pinion product range includes permanent industrial elevators, service and freight elevators, construction elevators, personnel and material hoists, transport platforms, and material lifts. Systems can be configured for a wide range of capacities, cab dimensions, travel heights, operating environments, and application requirements.
Engineering is at the foundation of every RYZ vertical transportation solution. Equipment is developed using established rack & pinion technology, dedicated engineering and research capabilities, standardized manufacturing processes, and quality-control procedures designed to provide consistent performance and long-term reliability.
Products undergo appropriate factory inspection, testing, and quality-control procedures before shipment. Modular equipment designs and standardized components are utilized where practical to support efficient installation, simplified maintenance, and long-term serviceability.
Quality management and manufacturing processes are supported by ISO 9001:2015 quality systems, while equipment can be engineered to meet applicable North American and European standards and project requirements, including ASME A17.1, ASME A10.4, ANSI/ASSP A92.10, EN 81, and applicable European machinery requirements such as Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, depending on the equipment type and application.
Industrial vertical transportation requirements vary significantly from project to project. RYZ evaluates factors such as capacity, cab dimensions, travel height, number of landings, duty cycle, environmental conditions, structural requirements, loading requirements, installation location, maintenance accessibility, and applicable codes and standards.
This engineering-focused approach allows RYZ to provide solutions for demanding environments including power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical and refining, chemical processing, marine and offshore, ports and shipyards, cement, steel, pulp and paper, manufacturing, infrastructure, and construction.
From a standard industrial elevator configuration to a large-capacity freight elevator or a specialized custom-engineered system, RYZ provides vertical transportation solutions designed around the actual requirements of the application.
Beyond equipment performance, RYZ places strong emphasis on installation efficiency, serviceability, spare-parts availability, maintenance, and lifecycle value. Modular designs and standardized components can simplify field installation and maintenance while supporting efficient replacement of serviceable components.
Our technical capabilities extend throughout the equipment lifecycle, including application engineering, equipment selection, project coordination, installation support, commissioning, training, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spare-parts support, and ongoing technical service.
RYZ Lift Systems combines more than 50 years of combined elevator experience with engineered rack & pinion technology to deliver reliable vertical transportation solutions for some of the most demanding environments in North America.

RYZ Lift Systems offers a range of standard rack and pinion industrial elevator models for the U.S. market. These configurations provide a starting point for selecting the appropriate elevator based on required capacity, cab size, lifting speed, and application.
Custom Engineering Available: The standard U.S. models shown here represent the standard product configurations. Freight elevators and custom-engineered rack and pinion elevators with larger cab sizes, higher capacities, specialized loading requirements, non-standard dimensions, specialized speeds, or other project-specific requirements are available through RYZ custom engineering services.
A rack and pinion elevator uses a motor-driven pinion gear mounted on the elevator car or platform. The pinion engages a stationary rack mounted to a supporting tower or structure, providing positive mechanical movement as the elevator travels vertically.
This direct-drive arrangement eliminates many components traditionally associated with conventional traction elevators, including suspension ropes, traction sheaves, and counterweight systems.
